                                    THERMODYNAMICS BY P.K NAG PDF

Book Summary of Engineering Thermodynamics

This book, Engineering Thermodynamics, has been revised for including the latest on the subject.
Summary Of The Book
The method of teaching in this book has been improved by including a number of questions, solved examples, and multiple choice questions in the book. This book has a complete coverage of the course contents of Engineering Thermodynamics. The language and presentation in this book is easy for students to understand. The book follows the right approach by explaining the properties of pure substances before introducing the laws of Thermodynamics.
The book includes 534 Review Questions (Numerical), 220 Solved Examples, newly included 72 Multiple Choice Questions, and 550 Review Questions (Theoretical). The topics newly added in this edition include Applications of Thermodynamics, Automobiles-I.C. Engines, Power Generation-Steam Power Plants, Fuel Cells, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning, and Alternative method to prove Inequality of Clausius.
The first six chapters include Introduction, Work and Heat Transfer, Temperature, First Law Applied to Flow Processes, First Law of Thermodynamics, and Second Law of Thermodynamics. The next six chapters cover Entropy, Properties of Pure Substances, Available Energy, Availability and Irreversibility, Properties of Gases and Mixtures, Properties of Pure Substances, Thermodynamics Relations, Equilibrium and Stability,  and Vapour Power Cycles. The last six chapters are Gas Power Cycles, Psychrometrics, Refrigeration Cycles, Compressible Fluid Flow, Reactive Systems, and Gas Compressors.
About P. K. Nag
